To attain maximum benefit from an Asana, one should hold it for a minimum of 15 to 30 seconds in the initial stage and should rest for a few seconds after each Asana by adopting the appropriate relaxation posture. After a few weeks of regular practice, the time for holding each Asana can be increased according to one’s capacity.
